Tor Browser is the essential tool for accessing any darknet marketplace, including TorZon Market. Without it, accessing the TorZon Onion address is technically impossible — .onion domains resolve only within the Tor network. This guide walks through everything a new user needs to know about downloading, configuring, and using Tor Browser safely.
The Tor (The Onion Router) network was originally developed by the US Naval Research Laboratory and is now maintained by the non-profit Tor Project. It routes internet traffic through a series of volunteer-operated encrypted relays — typically three — before it reaches its destination. Each relay knows only the IP of the previous and next relay, never the full path from user to destination. This makes it extremely difficult for any single observer to see both who is sending traffic and where it is going.
The Tor Browser is a modified version of Firefox that routes all traffic through Tor, blocks JavaScript by default in Safest mode, disables browser fingerprinting vectors, and refuses to store browsing history. It is specifically designed to prevent the application-layer privacy mistakes that can de-anonymise users even when the underlying network connection is anonymous.
Always download Tor Browser from the official source: torproject.org. Verify the GPG signature of the downloaded file before installing. This confirms the file has not been tampered with in transit. The Tor Project provides clear instructions for signature verification on their website. Never download from third-party sites, software repositories not officially associated with the Tor Project, or torrent sources.
Click the Shield icon in Tor Browser and select "Safest" security level. This disables JavaScript for all sites, preventing the most common browser-based de-anonymisation attacks. Most darknet marketplaces, including the one accessible via the TorZon Url, function correctly with JavaScript disabled. Never lower your security settings below Safest for darknet activity.
